Dear Friends and Supporters,
Seventeen years ago, two young women with disabilities and their families looked to the future after high school. Like many individuals with disabilities, they saw uncertain paths with social isolation, unemployment, and challenges involving housing and services. In response to these obstacles, Center for Independent Futures was founded to create brighter futures built on connections, independence, and possibilities.
Today, those possibilities are flourishing in Evanston and beyond. Your contribution to Center for Independent Futures supports the full lives of individuals—and goes much further. Your generosity impacts the communities surrounding our participants: the coworkers, family members, friends, and neighbors that individuals with disabilities interact with every day. Together, we’re creating opportunities for all individuals to contribute their gifts, making the entire community stronger.
Now more than ever, our individuals and communities need you. Budget cuts threaten funding that individuals rely on to live independently. Center for Independent Futures remains committed to creating innovative, person-centered solutions, and our work would not be possible without your support. Please join us to create sustainable, full lives and stronger, more inclusive communities.
