Description
Calling all writers! Do you like to write poetry? Do you like to learn about different types of poems? Do you sometimes sit down to write, but then find yourself wondering where to begin? Have you never written poetry before but would like to start?
Then join us at Poetry Plus! We meet on Wednesdays from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM on Zoom. We alternate topics every week– one week we will focus on crafting a specific poetic form, and the next week we’ll have Freestyle Night where we get a list of different prompts and write whichever ones we’d like in whatever way we choose. We will share our newly written poems throughout the meeting.
Can’t make every single meeting? No problem! Each week is different, so if you have to miss here and there, you can still join in and not feel like you’re behind on anything. At the end of each evening, we will take some time for anyone who wants to share something they’ve written outside of Poetry Plus with the group.
Dates: 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM Wednesdays: October 9, 23, and 30, November 6, 13, 20 and 27, and December 4, 11, and 18.
Please note that we will not meet on October 16 and December 25.
